Virginia Gay Hospital (VGH) in Vinton is excited to welcome Dr. Kyle Song as a family practitioner. Previously, Song practiced medicine for five years in Virginia. He is currently accepting patients.Song, originally from New York, first enrolled in the animal science program at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. He joined the military as a medic to assist with the cost of out-of-state tuition and was deployed in Afghanistan from March 2004 – July 2005.

Kindness Rock Spread Mental Health Awareness

COVID Recovery Iowa and the Kindness Rock project want Iowans to get out their brightest markers and paint pens to spread joy and help raise awareness for mental health. The statewide effort is gaining popularity on COVID Recovery Iowa's social media platforms. The group embraces the original purpose of kindness rocks: To cultivate connections within communities and lift others up through simple acts of kindness.
